The Quick Draw Plein Air Competition is an interactive artist event that will take place during the North Park Festival of the Arts on May 18th. This all-age event invites artists, competition painters, professionals, amateurs and hobbyists to compete and have fun! These artists have two hours to complete their work throughout North Park and amongst the festivities, giving onlookers the opportunity to see artists in action.

See the scenes and how the artists interpret them. Smell the wet paint and get caught up in the exictement of watching a painting come to life before your eyes!

Registration begins at 9:30am at the San Diego Art Department (3830 Ray Street). The paintings, completed at noon, will be displayed for public veiwing on easels in front of SDAD. The works will be judged at 1pm and awards will be presented. The wet paintings will be on sale from 1:00pm - 6:00pm during the festival.

Winners will also be invited to display their work at the San Diego Art Institute's Museum of the Living Artist, as well as the San Diego Art Department.
